We are committed to donating at least 1% of our total sales to environmental nonprofits, and 

as we grow, so does our giving. 

“Putting people and the planet over profit,” 1% for the Planet is a global network of businesses, individuals, and environmental organizations tackling our planet's most pressing environmental issues. The resources that go into our food, our homes, our cities, our livelihoods, our adventures, our computers, our cars - everything is produced from environmental resources, which are limited and increasingly scarce. The vision is this: businesses and individuals profit from the environment, so we should all be giving back to help protect our planet as much as possible. At Recover, we believe in giving back to the planet, and we also believe in innovating every step of the way to holistically think about how to make the best, most environmentally friendly and socially responsible products possible, and how to educate those around us to live and work for a sustainable tomorrow every step of the way. 

1% For The Planet is a membership network that provides support to businesses and individuals to find and donate to high-impact environmental nonprofits. 1% For The Planet Business members such as Recover commit to donating at least 1% of their annual sales to environmental nonprofits. Any individual can also be a member and commit to donating at least 1% of their salary. The 1% For The Planet network’s 5,000 members have donated over hundreds of millions of dollars so far, collectively helping fund diverse and crucial work to protect our planet. Oftentimes, big impact happens at a local, grassroots level, and 1% helps facilitate partnerships between dollars and do-ers on the ground. 

We became certified as a 1% for the Planet member in 2014, and as we have grown every year, so has our monetary commitment to environmental nonprofits. Our strategy and planning for vetting our 1% for the Planet partner organizations has advanced along the way, and with every Recover sale, donations are going to make big impact on the ground with our nonprofit partners. We support Catawba Riverkeeper and Mountain True, organizations that work for clean, drinkable, swimmable water in our own backyard. We provide significant support to Catawba Riverkeeper, Eco Tours, and our Monthly Clean-up series with Catawba Riverkeeper is in its second year of getting people out together to clean up our local watershed. We also support the Arbor Day Foundation, the Gazelle Foundation,EarthShare, Kiss The Ground, Davidson Lands Conservation, and Sustain Charlotte.

Our ability to give is growing, and you all are a part of that. We can achieve a lot when we work at anything together. At Recover, we work for a sustainable tomorrow, today alongside partner organizations on the ground working to protect our planet.
