NC’s biggest party of a running event, Around the Crown 10K, is a race rooted in Charlotte with a focus on inclusivity, sustainability, and the amazing Queen City itself. Each Labor Day weekend, Charlotte’s inner beltway, I-277, is shutdown for a few hours to let thousands of runners change the speed limit from 50mph to 5mph.
