THE RESPONSIBLE COMPANY FOR EVERYONE

1% For The Planet

As an indicator of positive growth, we measure how much we are able to give back to our 1% For The Planet beneficiaries. The better we do as a company, the more we give back to organizations working towards a cleaner, greener world for everyone. We have proudly given over $230K to environmental non-profits. Big impact often happens at a local, grassroots level which is why we believe in supporting significant work in our own backyard. We support Catawba, Watauga, Green, and French Broad Riverkeepers, as well as Earth Share NC, TreesCharlotte, Sustain Charlotte, and more. We also support global organizations like Arbor Day Foundation, and The Conservation Alliance to spread our impact worldwide.

1% For The Planet is a global network of businesses and environmental organizations working together to support people and the planet. Vision: We all profit from the environment, so we should all give back to protect it. As longtime members, we wholeheartedly agree. We are a proud part of the network’s 5,200+ business members that have donated over $585 million to 6,700+ environmental partners.

Arbor Day Foundation

Founded in 1972 the Arbor Day Foundation is the world's largest member non-profit dedicated to planting trees ... more than 500 million trees to be exact.

Recover and the Arbor Day Foundation have partnered for years to put more shovels in the ground and to reinforce their sustainability story through custom branded merchandise. Our current efforts are focused on two Priority Regions within Arbor Day's reforestation master plan. These areas are near and dear to Recover as they highlight our HyperLocal™ Supply Chains in both the American Southeast and Central America.

The Conservation Alliance

The Conservation Alliance protects outdoor spaces and wild places through the galvanized power of their members. Each year, members are able to hand select community focused grantees throughout North America to receive financial support to continue their work in creating a healthy and livable planet for all.

Recover is proud to be a member of The Conservation Alliance that has awarded over $31.9 million in grants and helped protect over 82 million acres and 4,570 river miles, remove or halt 38 dams, purchase 22 climbing areas and designate five marine reserves since 1989.

Catawba Riverkeeper

Leading innovation in sustainable apparel is not enough for Recover. We also lead in environmental action in our community. Recover's support for the Catawba Riverkeeper, their Monthly Cleanup Series, and the largest single day cleanup in the Southeast, called Riversweep, has been a longstanding tradition. Each of these cleanups rally volunteers to conduct a river cleanups to remove waste from our waterways throughout the year. These cleanups are not only crucial to highlight the need for ongoing environmental stewardship but also ensure clean water for all neighboring communities.
