Hurricane Helene Relief

WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA TREE PLANTING

Hominy Creek Greenway and the surrounding area was damaged by Hurricane Helene. We are thrilled to be hosting a tree planting in partnership with Asheville GreenWorks and Arbor Day Foundation to begin the process of restoring this area and making it better than it was before!

When: Friday, May 9th 2025

Time: 12:30pm - 4pm

Where: Hominy Creek Greenway - 80 Shelburne Rd, Asheville, NC 28806

What to bring: Clothes you feel comfortable planting trees in and closed toed shoes.

What to Expect: Join us to help restore Hominy Creek! Volunteers will receive:
→ WNC Strong T-Shirt
→ WNC Strong Socks
Afterparty: Join us at Wrong Way River Lodge & Cabins afterwards for good company and cold refreshments.
