As a proud industry leader in environmentally-friendly apparel, we’re excited to announce the launch of our newest initiative, Recover L.A.B.

Short for “Living And Breathing”, L.A.B. is a bold new project designed to be our creative testing ground and innovation driver. Through this initiative, we are continuing to push the boundaries of sustainable apparel manufacturing by developing new recycled materials and creating new limited-run products that emphasize circularity.

Driven by our ongoing commitment to reducing waste and outfitting everyone with apparel and gear for the biggest positive impact possible, a key focus of this project is the innovation behind our recycled cotton materials. 

Recover L.A.B. was initially inspired by the development of one of our most popular colorways, Rainbow, a uniquely blended fabric with a multi-color melange that’s created by spinning together various colors of recycled cotton fiber.

With recycled cotton being among the most sustainable fibers on the market, and the supply of cotton textile waste needing to be diverted from the landfill, we’re excited to further innovate with this material.

True to its "Living And Breathing" motto, L.A.B. brings that vision to life by using various fibers and colors of textile waste as a source of creative inspiration. By experimenting with unique colors of post-consumer cotton textile waste that extend beyond our core recycled fabric colors, we’re not only preventing additional waste from entering landfills but also telling a powerful story of circularity through new colors and fabrics.

L.A.B. product releases will be available to both our direct online customers and our wholesale customers, reflecting our mission to bring new and innovative sustainable apparel to all our customers.

For the first launch, we’re excited to share three new products, available at recoverbrands.com/LAB.

L.A.B. - EC100 - Milkyway: This product explores a new colorway inspired by the Milky Way Galaxy. Made from a 50/50 blend of recycled cotton and recycled polyester, it features a black base with heathering of purple, red, yellow, white, and blue. The result is a space-dyed effect that gives our core EC100 - Short Sleeve T-Shirt a one-of-a-kind look — all without the use of dyes.

L.A.B. - EC100 - Milkyway

L.A.B. - EC100 - Firefly: This product is a vibrant evolution of our beloved Rainbow colorway. This limited edition color features a yellow-green base blended with a multicolored rainbow heathering, inspired by the glow of fireflies at dusk throughout the US Southeast and our Headquarters in the mountains of Asheville, NC. Made from a 50/50 blend of recycled cotton and recycled polyester, this bright and energetic new colorway is also made without the use of dyes.

L.A.B. - EC100 - Firefly

L.A.B. - RC1095 - Firefly: This product will feature the same bold and bright firefly color as our new LAB - EC100 - Firefly, but with a brushed fleece fabric made from a 50/50 blend of recycled cotton and recycled polyester.

The launch of Recover L.A.B. signifies a new and exciting chapter in our mission to provide apparel and gear for the greatest positive impact possible. It's a living and breathing initiative – innovative, creative, and sustainability-focused.
