Sublimation is a fabric printing technique that uses specially formulated sublimation inks, which, when heated, transform into a gas that bonds directly with the fabric fibers. During this process, the design is printed onto the fabric pieces before they are sewn together. This allows for decoration options ranging from a 1 print location art design to an all-over print for total customization. This method of printing also gives us the ability to match Pantone colors precisely, ensuring exact color accuracy in the final product.
Due to the fusion of the ink with the fabric through heat, sublimated products retain their breathability and soft hand feel, even with an all-over print. The result is a decoration that is highly durable and seamless.
In addition to the improved technology and custom capabilities of sublimation printing, there are environmental benefits derived from water savings during the manufacturing process. By using a gas-phase ink to impart color, we are able to bypass the water consumption that is required and the dye water that is produced by traditional fabric dyeing methods, significantly reducing environmental impact.
