Since 2010, Recover has collaborated with running events across the country to bring sustainability to the start line and support event partners' eco-conscious efforts through a comprehensive approach to apparel.


We proudly provide our endurance event partners with custom performance apparel for runners that not only supports their training, but the planet as well, by offering a wide range of participant, volunteer, finisher, in-training items, and custom merchandise that is sustainably produced within our HyperLocal® supply chain and made from certified recycled materials.

We also bring sustainability to both race expos and finish line festivals through our eco-friendly lifestyle and performance apparel offerings for runners to commemorate their efforts, accomplishments, and race experience.

Our print-on-demand program extends our low-waste apparel approach to online merchandise stores, offering custom sustainable apparel both pre-event (in-training gear, limited edition commemorative merchandise, etc.) and post-event (finisher Collection, etc.) for purchase online. By printing the apparel and shipping orders as they are placed, we eliminate excess inventory waste, guessing on sizes, and inventory management, which reduces environmental impact.


Another key initiative, our 360° Closed Loop Apparel Recycling Program, transforms old and leftover race tees into new materials, diverting them from landfills. Event organizers can engage this program through an in-person activation, allowing participants to responsibly recycle old race tees at the expo and packet pickups, while the event has the ability to recycle previous years' excess inventory in bulk.

To further drive participant engagement, we collaborate with our event partners on “Enter to Win Sweepstakes”, participant shirt reveals, collaborative event giveaways, and more. These promotional efforts happen across a variety of marketing channels, including Instagram, Strava, podcast, email, and in-person activations like our "Guess The Size For A Prize" at the expo.

We also collaborate with our partners to amplify collective impact through sustainable storytelling. By creating and sharing visual content like photos, videos, (Ex. MCM X Recover here), and event impact savings reports optimized for social media, email and end of year reporting (Ex. Big Sur International Marathon Impact Report below), we are able to engage a broad audience about our shared positive impact.
