A Letter From Our Founder

As another year passes and a new one begins, it’s the perfect time for reflection and planning.  We’re extremely proud of what we’ve accomplished at Recover over the past fourteen years and we’re as excited and motivated as ever for the future.  

2023 was a big year for Recover in building more infrastructure - we moved into a new warehouse and distribution center, we integrated into a new operating system, and went live with a brand refresh.  We outgrew our Charlotte, NC headquarters and warehouse where we had been for the past eight years, which was a bittersweet move.  We worked with a third party, Control Union, on a Life Cycle Analysis to certify the impact of our entire supply chain.  And we did an audit of all our fits and styles.  Collectively, these projects were essential as we plan for the next fourteen years of Recover and beyond.

We have always been mission-driven, and as we step back and think about our mission to help earth recover by outfitting everyone with apparel and gear for the biggest positive impact possible, we plan and build around the guiding principle to be THE RESPONSIBLE COMPANY FOR EVERYONE™.

There are many benefits of having a vertical supply chain where we control our entire process, from recycling textiles and spinning yarn to cutting and sewing garments - the environmental impact of reducing carbon emissions, the water and energy savings, and our speed to market.  But beyond that, it’s simply more cost effective.  In 2024, we’re very excited to pass along those savings to you, our customers.  In a world of constant inflation and price increases, our continued innovation allows us to reduce our waste, and reduce our costs.  You’ll notice on our website, the reduction in retail prices for end consumers as well as the reduction in wholesale prices for custom apparel and gear.

We have some exciting new products launching in 2024, including our new Impact Jacket and Sport Stretch line, and something we’re very excited about is the relaunch of our fleece line in February.  We have completely reworked our entire fleece program to improve the cuts, fits and overall product, and we’re very pleased to share these new styles with you. 

In our constant pursuit to do better, we are motivated and optimistic for the future, and look forward to seeing what we can accomplish together.  On behalf of the entire Recover team, thank you for being part of the Recover community and we wish all the best in the new year.
